My work is based upon a release of and capturing of energy/energies. This energy is a physical representation of my emotional response to the particular themes of consumerism, globalism and social divides.

The materials I use are deliberate, as cardboard is such a widely used, everyday material that all of us have in our homes. My use of colour is minimal as I tend to use just black and white, magnolia has crept into my work as its such a regularly used household colour.

It's the destructive (both environmental and social) effects of globalism and consumerism that create an angst and anger within myself that I try to relay to the viewer
